These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Why the Original

A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 21841-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. The published dimensions are dimension a 14 mm, dimension b 36 mm, dimension c 2 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21841-02

Category: Spacers

Dimension A: 14 mm

Dimension B: 36 mm

Dimension C: 2 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21841-02_f1340465-f4b7-469d-b453-df637b8a36c6.png?v=1788880311
