It houses the compression assembly on most Öhlins cartridge forks.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21627-43

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Left and right are different parts on almost every fork. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Fork tubes are the structural part of the front end and carry the braking load into the yokes.

Original Öhlins Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21627-43. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21627-43

Category: Fork Bottoms

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21627-43_5ad49985-9a05-4f9c-88a8-9e9b48bbf439.png?v=1788879702
