Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21628-24

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true. Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks. Fender brackets carry the mudguard on machines where the fork leg has no mounting of its own.

Original Öhlins Part

The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21628-24. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Clamps have a specified torque; over-tightening distorts the bore they hold. Öhlins machines housings from solid billet rather than casting them.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21628-24

Category: Fender Brackets

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21628-24_8df1459e-31b9-471f-bea4-d4caeba7d914.png?v=1788879731
