Cut for One Chassis
Aprilia lists a housing that fits several models and this one, profiled for the RSV4's clip-on position and cable routing. Behind a superbike fairing the space between the bar and the inner panel is minimal, and a dedicated body fits into it more cleanly.
Space at Full Lock
The difference becomes apparent when the bars are turned in a paddock or a garage. A housing designed around the RSV4's geometry keeps its cables clear where a general-purpose body forces them into a tighter radius than they want.
Seven Manufacturers' Titles
The RSV4 has won more World Superbike manufacturers' championships than any contemporary, which for a company of Aprilia's scale is remarkable. The road bike carries more of that development than most homologation specials do.
The Switch Is Inside
Aprilia builds the right-hand controls into the throttle assembly, so a worn contact means the complete component. This unit replaces both from a single billet using the motorcycle's own connector.
APRC Adjusted at Speed
Traction, wheelie and launch control are all changed on the move, which is unusual and genuinely useful as a rear tyre goes off. Those controls sit in this housing and they are used rather than admired.
Four Anodised Finishes
Black, red, blue and titanium, converted into the surface. On an RSV4 in Aprilia's own black and red the first two are continuations rather than additions.
Sealed and Machined
Cut from one block with sealed switch elements. Track machines are washed hot after every session, and a casting with a clipped cover has a seam that a jet finds every single time.
