DescriptionThe whole story▼
The first-generation Dragster 800 takes the JP PD MV002 as its right-hand switch, machined from Ergal 7075 on a universal clamp.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 (2014–2017)
- Universal hole pattern for either master cylinder
- Full street control set
- Black, red or titanium anodising
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
A Two Hundred Section Rear
MV fitted the Dragster with a rear tyre wider than anything else in the class and mounted it on an aluminium-rimmed spoked wheel. The bike is consequently slower to change direction than the Brutale it derives from, and considerably more difficult to walk past.
No Passenger, No Apology
The pillion seat and its footrests were removed entirely rather than made optional. That shortens the tail dramatically and commits the motorcycle to being a solo machine, which is a decision very few manufacturers are willing to make.
Before the RC and the SCS
This fitment covers 2014 to 2017, the original Dragster before MV added the RC, the SCS with its Rekluse clutch and the stream of limited editions that followed. The later bikes changed electrically and take different parts.
Settling the Rear on Exit
A wide, heavy rear wheel needs deliberate throttle application to load properly coming out of a corner. The rider's hand is doing careful work at exactly the point where the right-hand switch sits, which is a reason to want that area to feel solid.
Exposed Metal Everywhere
Trellis frame, single-sided swingarm, spoked rims and no bodywork. A machined aluminium component belongs among those in a way a moulded plastic housing does not, and on this particular motorcycle the visual argument is unusually strong.
Universal Clamp Geometry
The plate accepts either master cylinder bolt arrangement, which keeps a later brake change from requiring the switch to be reconsidered. On a bike frequently modified in stages, that flexibility is worth having from the start.
Three Finishes
Black, red and titanium. Dragsters are often ordered in loud limited-edition colours, and against those the black option is generally the one that lets the cockpit stay calm.
