Two Drillings Because Brakes Differ
Manufacturers place clamp bolts where their own castings suit and change the arrangement between generations. Rather than supply one plate that fits neither geometry properly, JetPrime cuts the switch both ways and lets the motorcycle decide.
Where an Adventure Bike Gets an Offset
Usually from a lever assembly changed for glove clearance, or a remote adjuster fitted so the reach can be altered on the move. Both are common on machines ridden off tarmac in thick gloves and both can shift the bolt spacing.
Look, Do Not Deduce
Offset means one bolt sits ahead of the other relative to the handlebar. On a used bike with an undocumented history that is the only reliable way to establish it, and it takes rather less time than returning the wrong part.
A Tank That Changed the Class
KTM hung the fuel low on either side of the engine rather than stacking it above. The centre of gravity dropped far enough that a 210 kilogram motorcycle became manageable at walking pace, and most of the class has since copied the idea.
Sealed Against Grit
Fine dust works into a moulded joint and stays there, which makes it more destructive than water. Sealed elements inside a one-piece milled body give it nowhere to enter on a bike hosed down after every ride.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, titanium and orange, all converted into the surface rather than applied over it. Each dulls with contact instead of chipping, which on an adventure bike that will be laid down matters more than the shade.
It Goes Over at Walking Pace
Every adventure motorcycle ridden off tarmac falls eventually. The end of a wide handlebar reaches the ground first, and a body milled from Ergal deforms where a clipped moulded shell splits at its clamp.
