Staggered Holes
The offset pattern for the second of the two clamps. An S is frequently changed at the lever end, which makes confirming it worth the effort before ordering.
A Resistive Film
That is what water leaves on a terminal, and it produces an intermittent fault rather than a clean failure. The decline runs across months rather than days.
Nothing Below the Block
Ducati's catalogue starts and ends at the complete assembly. One failed contact therefore costs the same whichever direction an owner takes.

Semi-active Öhlins on a naked bike with 208 horsepower. The suspension is working continuously rather than sitting at one compromise setting.
Biplane Wings
Two elements per side, fitted because nothing else keeps the front wheel down at the speeds this engine reaches. Functional first and striking second.
A Genuine Redesign
Its own airbox, its own subframe and its own final drive. Ducati changed considerably more than it removed, which is unusual for a naked derivative of a superbike.
Sold as a Serious Model
Ducati followed the Streetfighter V4 S with an SP carrying carbon wheels and a dry clutch, which is not something done for a niche derivative. The naked V4 turned out to have a considerably larger audience than the company had planned for.
