Ohlins and Carbon
The RS specification brought better suspension, a colour panel and the full electronics package to the last of the 1050s.
Machined From Solid
Ergal cut on a machine rather than moulded, which is what allows the internal ratio to be held to a figure instead of to a tolerance band.

The motorcycle's own connector goes into the new assembly unchanged. Everything difficult about a ride-by-wire conversion was already solved by the manufacturer.
The Dead Zone Disappears
A machined assembly starts without the small band of nothing at the closed position that an aged plastic one develops. Riders often describe the result as a sharper throttle when what has actually happened is that a fault they stopped noticing has gone.
