The JP ACC TR039 is a model-specific short-stroke throttle for the Scrambler 1200X, machined rather than moulded and intended to feel like a cable throttle did.

The Road Biased Scrambler
Triumph built the X with shorter travel and a lower seat than its sibling, aimed at riders who want the look and the upright position without the off-road commitment.
Where the Wrist Ends Up
At full throttle the standard grip has usually rolled the wrist past comfortable. A shorter sweep leaves it in a position the arm can hold through a corner exit.
Free Play
A standard assembly develops a small dead zone at the closed position with age. A machined one starts without it and keeps it that way.
Ergal
The trade name covers the 7000 series alloys, chosen here because the internal profile has to hold its shape under a spring load for years.
Pillion
A passenger amplifies every throttle input through the rider's back. A shorter sweep makes smoothness a skill rather than a default.
Commuting
Stop-start traffic asks for tiny, repeatable inputs at low speed, which is the one thing a shortened rotation makes harder rather than easier.

The two jobs share the same disassembly, which makes doing them together the obvious choice rather than a coincidence.
Inspections and the Law
It is a standard-looking control in a standard position doing the standard job, and it touches nothing an emissions or lighting test measures. Where local rules take an interest in changes to controls, the honest answer is a shorter rotation and nothing else.
Checking It Later
There is no service interval, but the clamp screws are worth a glance whenever the bar is being worked on. Everything else about the part is fit and forget, because there is nothing inside to wear or lubricate.
