The JP ACC KT016 replaces the 690 SMC R's throttle assembly with a short-stroke unit that reaches full opening in sixty degrees instead of the rotation the factory chose.

Supermoto With Plates
Seventeen inch wheels on the enduro chassis and a single brake disc that stops it hard. The SMC is ridden with the throttle and the rear brake, and both are worked constantly.
Plug and Play
The original connector carries over and nothing in the loom is cut. Fitting is mechanical and the electrical side is a plug moved from one body to another.
Riding Modes
Rain, road, sport and whatever else the manufacturer offers all continue to work exactly as they did. The assembly reports an angle and nothing more.
Ergal
The trade name covers the 7000 series alloys, chosen here because the internal profile has to hold its shape under a spring load for years.
Bar Diameter
The assembly is made for the motorcycle's own handlebar, which is why the part number is model specific rather than a size.
Where the Time Goes
Half an hour at the bar, then a diagnostic session. Anybody without their own interface should book the second half before starting the first.
An Older Motorcycle
On a machine that has covered distance, the standard assembly has play the owner has stopped noticing. Fitting this often reads as a bigger change than it is.
What Goes Slack Over Time
The standard tube turns inside a moulded bore and the pair develop play. It shows as a dead zone before anything happens and a rattle at the bar end. Almost nobody identifies it, because it arrives slowly and the hand adapts.
Selling the Motorcycle
The standard part goes back in half an hour plus a reset. Buyers who wanted a short-stroke throttle would have bought one themselves, and buyers who did not will treat its absence as a reason to negotiate.
