The JP ACC HO027 is the short-stroke answer to the CBR 1000 RR-R's standard throttle, built for the hand rather than for the engine and reversible in half an hour.

Fireblade SP
Honda finally built a homologation special for World Superbike, with an engine derived from the RC213V and gearing that only makes sense above three figures. It is a circuit motorcycle sold with lights.
Bar End Weights
They unbolt from the tube and go back into the new one on most models. It is worth checking the thread before ordering anything exotic.
The Sensor Inside
Ride-by-wire measures grip angle and hands the figure to the engine controller. The assembly is therefore an instrument as much as a mechanism.
Quickshifters
The shift sensor sits at the gear lever and the strategy sits in the controller. Neither has any relationship with the throttle assembly.
Rain
Less rotation for the same opening means less margin for a cold, wet hand. The riding mode helps; the mechanical ratio does not change with weather.
Model Specific
The part numbers are tied to particular motorcycles because the mounting, the sensor and the connector all differ. There is no universal version of this.
Buying for a Race Bike
A machine that never leaves a circuit is the clearest case here. There is no traffic to meter, no pillion to consider and no wet commute to survive.
The Fitting Sequence
Bar end out, grip off, switch block loosened and slid inboard, two clamp screws out, assembly lifted clear and unplugged. The new body goes back the same way in reverse. Everything after that is torque and tidiness, and then the diagnostic reset before the motorcycle moves.
Selling the Motorcycle
The standard part goes back in half an hour plus a reset. Buyers who wanted a short-stroke throttle would have bought one themselves, and buyers who did not will treat its absence as a reason to negotiate.
