The JP CJP 082H manages the fuel mixture on the KLE 650 Versys across the whole operating range, which is what a racing exhaust and an open filter actually require.

Kawasaki raised the bars, lengthened the suspension and remapped the twin for a softer bottom end. The Versys is the most useful thing they build.
A Winter Project
Most owners write their first useful map over several sessions rather than in one afternoon. Anybody expecting a finished result on the first evening has misjudged the work.
Altitude and Temperature
The standard controller compensates using its own sensors and this unit applies its map on top. A map developed at sea level still works in the mountains, only less precisely.
What Is Supplied
The unit, a harness for one motorcycle and access to the software. The wideband, the laptop and the time are the owner's contribution.
The Standard Sensor Is Not Enough
A narrowband oxygen sensor only reports near stoichiometric. It cannot tell you what the mixture is doing at full load, which is exactly where you need to know.
Windows and a Cable
The software is a workshop tool from JetPrime, not a phone application. It looks utilitarian because it is, and everything it does happens through a USB connection.
The Laptop in the Paddock
Somewhere dry, charged and with the cable already attached to the motorcycle. Mapping between sessions is the point of this unit and it needs a working bench.
Against a Full Remap
A reflash reaches ignition and the rider aids and is written into the motorcycle. This is narrower, reversible and belongs to whoever owns the box.
Where Owners Give Up
Not at the fitting and not at the software. It is the discipline of repeatable measurement that defeats people, because a map built on inconsistent readings is worse than no map at all.
