Kept Rather Than Ridden

The End of the Daytona
Triumph has not built a supersport since. Whatever comes next will not be this motorcycle, and the market has priced that in.
Reversible Both Ways
Keep the housing and the plug and the motorcycle returns to standard in the same two hours it took to convert.
A Sensible Sequence
Electrical last, mechanical first. Plugging the eliminator in before the cover is fitted simply means testing twice.
Emissions Inspection
Where the test includes a visual check, both halves have to go back. Having kept them makes that an evening rather than a parts order.
The Whole Sequence
Seat, tank, hose off at both ends, reed housing away, cover on and torqued, eliminator plugged in, everything back together and a short test ride. Two hours at the outside and most of that is bodywork.
What Gets Written Down
A note in the service book saying what was removed and when. Whoever diagnoses the motorcycle in five years will otherwise assume the system is present and spend an hour proving otherwise.
The Honest Summary
A quieter overrun, a clean dashboard and two fewer perishable components. No power, no response and no consumption change, which is what an emissions delete does and all it does.
