The JP ES KIT09 removes secondary air from the Streetfighter V4S properly: the controller finds what it expects and the cylinder head is closed with aluminium rather than plastic.

What Is Actually Removed
Solenoid, wiring stub, reed housing, the hose between them and the clips. Four items and their fasteners leave the motorcycle.
Why Both Halves Are Needed
Unplugging the solenoid alone stores a fault; blanking the head alone leaves the lamp on. Only the pair produces a clean result.
Keep the Originals Together
Bag both parts with their fasteners and label them. The person who needs them is either an inspector or the next owner.
On the Rear Cylinder
Whether it is a twin or a V4, the rear bank is the awkward part. Planning for that is most of the preparation this job needs.
A Job With a Deadline
On older machines the reeds are living on borrowed time, so this is often a repair that happens to also delete an emissions device.
What Actually Leaves
The solenoid, its wiring stub, the reed housing, the hose between them and the clips holding it. Four items and their fasteners, and the top of the engine looks visibly emptier afterwards.
The Third Thing Nobody Mentions
The hose port at the airbox end stays open once the housing is gone, and closing it properly is part of the job rather than an afterthought. Unfiltered air into an intake is a worse outcome by a considerable margin than the system that was removed.

Before anything is disconnected, a picture of how the lines run costs a minute and answers every question that comes up during reassembly. It also settles which fitting at the airbox has to be closed, which is the detail most often discovered too late.
