The JP ES 007 answers the secondary air circuit on the Panigale V2 955 with a fixed resistance, so the controller finds what it expects even though the valve itself has gone.

A Single-Sided Swingarm
Fitted to the V2 where the 959 had a conventional one, purely because it looks right. Ducati understands that this matters to its buyers.
Nothing Stored
Because the self-test passes rather than being circumvented, no code waits in memory for a dealer to find at the next service.
The Warning Returns
Clearing the code with a reader works until the next ignition cycle, when the self-test runs again and finds the same open circuit.
Fitted With an Exhaust
Almost every Ducati that gets this part also gets a silencer, and doing both in one session means the new system is never blamed for a noise it did not cause.
Desmodromic Valves Do Not Change This
Ducati's mechanically closed valve gear is what allows the rev ceilings the company quotes, and it has no bearing at all on the secondary air system bolted to the outside of the head.

The Simplest Electrical Job
No polarity, no configuration, no adaptation and no way to fit it incorrectly. It either restores the expected reading or it does not, and it always does.
What Happens If You Simply Unplug It
The controller pulses the circuit within seconds of the ignition coming on, finds nothing, stores a fault and lights the panel. From then on the warning sits there permanently and any later fault arrives behind it, invisible until somebody plugs in a diagnostic tool and reads the memory properly. That is the practical reason a passive resistance is worth the money over an empty connector.
The Connector's Locking Tab
Ducati's plugs latch and the latch does not always release where a gloved thumb expects it to. Levering at the wrong point breaks the tab, and a connector with a broken tab has to be replaced rather than persuaded. Looking at the plug before pulling on it is the whole of the technique.
