The JP MJ 008 is the preset version of JetPrime's fuel module for the Z1000SX, with nothing to program and nothing to configure after it is plugged in.

Before It Was a Ninja
The SX name covered the sports tourer before Kawasaki moved it under the Ninja banner. Mechanically it is the same idea and the same engine.
What It Cannot Fix
A worn throttle position sensor, a leaking inlet rubber, a clogged filter or a sticking valve. A module corrects fuel quantity and nothing else. Fitting one to hide a mechanical fault postpones the diagnosis rather than avoiding it.
Buying With an Exhaust Already Fitted
This is the most common situation and the clearest case. A motorcycle running an aftermarket silencer on the standard map is working with a mixture the factory never intended it to have.
With a Sports Filter
The effect mirrors an exhaust change and the answer is the same. Owners who fit both are further from the factory mixture than either change alone would put them.
Rider Aids Are Blind to It
Traction control reads wheel speeds, not injector pulses. Nothing about the module's presence enters the calculation for any electronic aid on the motorcycle.
Cold Starts Are Not the Target
Warm-up enrichment is separate, standard and untouched. A machine that has always been reluctant on a January morning will remain exactly as reluctant.
Reading the Listing Before Ordering
The year span in the title is part of the product. Manufacturers change injector connectors and harness routing mid-generation, and a module cut for one span will not simply plug into the other.
Tank Off Models
A minority of machines route the harness under the tank, which turns the job into an hour. The listing does not say which, so a look underneath before ordering saves an evening.
