The JP ES 047 removes the Speed Triple 1050 S's vapour canister and its plumbing off the motorcycle for good.

Five Riding Modes
Including a configurable setting, altering throttle, traction and ABS together. It brought the Speed Triple up to where the class had moved.
Two Hundred and Fourteen Kilograms
Wet, unchanged from the earlier bikes. The Speed Triple has always carried its weight well and never pretended to be light.
Condensation in Winter
Vapour lines running from a warm tank to a cold vessel collect water, and in a hard frost that water can block the smallest bend in the hose.
No Performance Claim
Removing evaporative control does not free power, sharpen throttle response or improve consumption. Anybody promising otherwise has misunderstood the system.
Refitted for a Sale
Putting the standard arrangement back before handing the motorcycle over avoids an argument and takes about as long as the original removal did.
Ethanol Blends Age It Faster
Modern pump fuel is harder on charcoal than the petrol the system was designed around, so canisters on older bikes are frequently spent long before the mileage suggests they should be.
Where the Fault Code Lives
In the engine controller, against the purge solenoid circuit. Nothing in the diagnostics knows or cares whether charcoal is present, which is why the electrical answer is the only part that matters to the electronics.
What a Saturated Bed Feels Like
The engine turns over normally and refuses to catch for several seconds, then idles unevenly for a minute or two before settling. It is worst immediately after filling and best when the tank is nearly empty, which is the clue nobody notices.
A Vessel That Cannot Be Opened
Triumph supplies the canister sealed, so a saturated bed means buying a new one. That economics is why so few owners replace one twice.
