The JP ES 002 deletes the evaporative system on the Diavel 1260, including the electrical half, so nothing is left hanging and nothing is left flagged on the panel.

The Testastretta DVT
Twelve hundred and sixty-two cubic centimetres with variable valve timing, making a hundred and fifty-nine horsepower in a power cruiser chassis.
Where It Hides
Behind the engine or under the tail depending on the model, with three lines and a bracket. On a Ducati that area is never generous.
Reversible
Vessel, bracket and hoses all refit in their original positions, so an inspection or a sale can be answered with the standard arrangement back in place.
Improvised Removals
A hose cut short and cable-tied to the frame is the usual approach. It vents the tank until the motorcycle lies on its side and then demonstrates the problem.
Not Every Symptom Is the Canister
Hard starting has several causes and a tired battery is more common than a saturated bed. Establishing which is which before ordering saves money.
The Bracket Bolts Are Not Tight
Nothing in this assembly is torqued to anything significant, which is fortunate because the fasteners are usually corroded by the time anybody reaches them.
The Refit Takes the Same Time
There is no penalty for changing your mind beyond an evening, which is worth knowing before the decision starts to feel permanent.
Fuel Smell After a Hot Day
It is the classic sign of a saturated canister, and once the charcoal is full it stays full. Owners generally discover this in a garage rather than on the road, and it is one of the two reasons anybody looks for this part in the first place.
What a Saturated Canister Smells Like
Raw fuel, strongest in a closed garage a few hours after the motorcycle has been parked warm. It is the most reliable sign that the charcoal has stopped absorbing, and once it has, it does not recover. Replacing the canister costs considerably more than removing it.
