Ducati drew the 1299 with a tail that stops abruptly, then bolted a long black arm underneath it to carry the plate. This part replaces that arm with a shorter carbon one.

The Most Removed Component on This Motorcycle
More 1299s have had the plate arm taken off entirely than have had any other modification. It is understandable and it is also how a large number of otherwise well-kept bikes end up failing an inspection for something that has nothing to do with how they run.
A shorter carrier is the compromise that keeps the bike legal while removing most of what people object to. It is not a delete kit and this listing is not a route to one.
Four Things an Inspector Looks At
The plate surface has to be lit. A reflector has to be present and visible from behind. The plate angle has to stay within what the local rule allows, and the assembly has to be secure under vibration. All four are your responsibility once the standard arm comes off.
Ducati solved them with the arm you are replacing. Solving them again with a shorter carrier takes a few extra minutes and a torch in the dark, which is where most people discover the plate light is pointing at nothing.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati 1299 Panigale, model years 2015 to 2017, at the original subframe points, reusing the factory plate light unless local rules require a different one.
Road Approval
Fullsix issues no ABE and no EC type-approval number, and for a plate carrier that is the one place it bites. German registration in particular treats a plate carrier without a Teilegutachten or ABE as not registrable on its own. Take it to your inspection organisation before it goes on the bike, not after.
Fitting
Move the light across first and switch it on in a dark garage before anything else is tightened. Then check the reflector line of sight from directly behind at roughly plate height.
Finally, push the tail down through its travel by hand and watch the gap to the tyre. A carrier that clears on the stand and touches under load is worse than the arm you took off.
