DescriptionThe whole story▼
The SH2R is the red version of Accossato's spongy crossbar buffer for 22 mm constant-diameter handlebars, built to cover the bare crossbar tube rather than to change how the crossbar itself clamps on.
Key Features
- Spongy buffer for crossbars on 22 mm constant-diameter handlebars
- Supplied in red
- Slips over the crossbar bar between the two clamp points
- Adds a cushioned cover without altering the crossbar's clamp diameter
- Sold separately from the crossbar kit it is fitted to
- Offered alongside black, blue and orange versions of the same buffer
Construction and Material Quality
Like the rest of Accossato's buffer range, the SH2R is a soft cover rather than a structural part, sized to fit over the crossbar on a 22 mm handlebar once that crossbar is already clamped in place. Fitting or removing the buffer does not touch the two-screw clamps holding the crossbar itself, so it can be added after the crossbar is already on the bike.
Colour as a Finishing Choice
Where the crossbar underneath it is usually left in a single finish, the buffer that covers it comes in a choice of colours, and red is one of four offered for the 22 mm range. Riders matching a build to a particular colour scheme, rather than leaving the crossbar bare, use the buffer colour as the visible finishing touch rather than the crossbar itself.
Fitment and Compatibility
The SH2R fits any Accossato crossbar built to the 22 mm constant-diameter standard; it is not linked to a specific motorcycle. Check that the crossbar already fitted is the 22 mm type before ordering, since the SK1N buffer is the separate version sized for the thicker tapered range.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for the SH2R; registration rules depend on the country, so check local requirements before road use.
