DescriptionThe whole story▼
The DL650 has stayed in Suzuki's range for close to two decades with only gradual changes, and a long-running adventure bike like this tends to rack up serious mileage on exactly the kind of unsealed green lanes and farm tracks where a front wheel can lose its footing on loose stone. For the DL650 V-Strom built between 2004 and 2018, Accossato's TP046 crash pads are there for that kind of greenlane mishap.
Key Features
- Crash pads for the Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, 2004 to 2018
- Accossato part TP046, two pads in the pack, one per side
- CNC-machined aluminium body with a colour-anodised insert
- Insert available in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Optional matching screw cover in the same insert colour
- Fitting may call for drilling on some applications
- Same TP046 part also listed for the Ducati Diavel
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Milling gives the TP046 its aluminium shape before the anodised insert is added in whichever colour is requested, locking the hue into the metal rather than leaving it as a coat on top. A matching screw cover is available for a cleaner install. Two pads form the pack, and Accossato's own paperwork never actually confirms whether further hardware travels with them.
Two Decades of Greenlanes and Farm Tracks
A bike that's stayed in production this long has had plenty of time to build a reputation among owners who use it exactly as intended: on unsealed lanes, farm tracks and loose-surfaced detours that a purely road-going tourer would avoid. Loose stone on that kind of ground can let the front wheel step sideways with little warning, and the lower bodywork is what grounds out when it does. A crash pad fitted here means that greenlane mishap costs a worn pad rather than a cracked panel, which matters on a bike kept for years rather than traded in quickly.
Fitment and Compatibility
This TP046 listing covers the DL650 V-Strom built from 2004 to 2018, a remarkably long run across which Suzuki made only gradual changes; confirm your exact year before ordering. The same TP046 part is also listed in our shop for the Ducati Diavel, despite the two bikes having almost nothing else in common.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or comparable approval paperwork for the TP046, so Inter-Pace offers this pair for racing and competition use on the DL650, not for ordinary road use.
