Spark Exhaust WSSP Titanium Header Yamaha R9 (2025-2026) GYA8801

This is the manifold half of Spark's World Supersport system for the Yamaha R9, sold on its own. Titanium 3-into-1, approved for WSSP competition, with the four carburation ports that let a tuner read each cylinder separately. You buy it alone when you already run a Spark silencer, when a crash has claimed the pipework but not the muffler, or when you are building a race bike section by section.

Build Quality & Materials

Titanium tube, hand-TIG-welded, with connectors machined from solid bar rather than pressed or spun. On a header that matters more than it does on a silencer: the manifold carries the highest gas temperature in the system and takes the mechanical load of everything hanging behind it. A pressed coupling that goes slightly oval under heat turns into a leak at the joint; a machined one does not.

The four sensor ports are a racing detail rather than a styling one. With one boss per cylinder plus one after the junction, a dyno operator can see whether cylinder three is running lean without inferring it from a mixed reading taken downstream of everything.

Performance & Sound

Pipe lengths, diameters and taper rates come out of Spark's Supersport programme, where the same geometry runs a full season. This is a competition header: it is drawn for peak flow rather than mid-range manners, and it expects a matching map. Sound depends entirely on which silencer you put behind it — the header contributes almost nothing to attenuation on its own.

Fitment & Compatibility

Yamaha R9, 2025 and 2026, in Supersport configuration. Passenger footpegs cannot be fitted alongside it. If your R9 is otherwise standard, GYA8802 is the collector drawn for the original chassis instead — same material, different mounting.

Road Approval

None whatsoever. This is a bare competition header with no EC approval and no catalytic converter. It belongs on a circuit.
