The insert seals against the visor with a silicone bead, trapping a thin layer of air between the two — the same principle as double glazing. The inner surface is a hygroscopic film that absorbs condensation rather than repelling it. Both parts have a service life: the silicone hardens and the absorbent layer eventually saturates permanently, usually after two to three seasons of daily use. Never wipe the inner face dry; rinse it and let it drip.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eFitting takes a minute. Flex the visor gently outwards, drop the lens onto the eccentric pins, release.
