The Tuono V4 is an RSV4 without the fairing. The JP CO AP009 replaces its throttle housing and right-hand switch block with one machined body.

A Superbike With Handlebars
Aprilia took the RSV4's V4, retuned it for midrange, fitted a wide handlebar and removed most of the bodywork. The Tuono is arguably the more usable motorcycle and it gives up remarkably little to the machine it derives from.
Eleven Hundred Cubic Centimetres
Aprilia enlarged the V4 for the Tuono to 1077 cc, which brought torque low down without costing the top end. It is the change that made the bike work as a road motorcycle rather than a stripped superbike.
Wind on the Hands
With no fairing the rider takes the full airflow and the hands are pushed back at any real speed. Reaching a control becomes a deliberate movement made against pressure, which is why the assembly needs to feel solid.
Both Parts as One
The right-hand switches sit inside the throttle housing. This unit covers both from a single billet, plugged into Aprilia's own connector with nothing spliced and no fault code afterwards.
APRC on a Naked Bike
Traction, wheelie and launch control adjusted on the move. On a Tuono those systems are working harder than on the faired bike, because the riding position and the torque encourage exactly the behaviour they exist to manage.
Four Anodised Finishes
Black, red, blue and titanium. Against Aprilia's own black and red schemes the first two continue what is already there; titanium is the quieter option on the plainer colours.
Milled From Solid
Cut from one block with sealed contacts inside. There is no clipped cover to work loose under a V4's vibration and no seam for rain to find at road speed on a bike with no protection at all.
