Semi-Active Öhlins
The Factory designation brought electronically controlled Öhlins suspension alongside forged wheels and a carbon-heavy specification. It is Aprilia's flagship and it is priced accordingly, which makes the standard cockpit components stand out more than they otherwise would.
Two Hundred and Seventeen Horsepower
From a 1078 cc V4 by the end of this generation. Aprilia extracted more from the narrow-angle engine than seemed plausible when it first appeared, and the delivery remained usable rather than becoming peaky.
Winglets on a Road Bike
The Factory carried aerodynamic appendages derived from Aprilia's MotoGP work before most of the class had any. They are functional at speeds a circuit allows and they mark the bike out immediately.
Housing and Switch Together
Aprilia integrates the right-hand controls into the throttle assembly. Renewal covers both, which this unit does as a single machined component using the motorcycle's own connector with no wiring change.
Precision at the Sensor
Electronic throttle means the housing holds a position sensor rather than a cable drum. A machined bore keeps the tube's rotation consistent in a way a casting with a clipped cover eventually does not.
Four Finishes
Black, red, blue and titanium, converted into the surface. On a Factory carrying carbon and gold suspension, titanium sits closest to the existing materials without attempting to match any of them.
Sealed Elements
Contacts sealed inside a one-piece body. Factory models see circuits, and hot washing after a session is what ends switchgear on a motorcycle used that way.
