The JP ES 070 stops the Panigale V4 R flagging a rear lamp failure when the standard tail assembly has been replaced as part of a rear end conversion.

Where It Lives
Under the seat unit or inside the tail, depending on the model. On most Ducatis the seat comes off with a key and the work is done in ten minutes.
The Panel Argument
A stored lighting fault masks the next fault behind it. Keeping the dashboard honest is worth more than the small cost of the connector itself.
The Two Common Reasons
Either the tail unit has been removed for track use, or it has been replaced with an LED assembly that draws too little to satisfy the monitoring circuit.
Current, Not Light
The monitoring circuit has no idea whether the lamp is working. It measures how much current the circuit draws and infers the rest, which is why a working LED unit still trips it.
No Software Involved
Nothing is flashed, adapted or written to the controller. The eliminator works entirely through the electrical load it presents at the connector.
The Fault Memory
Because the controller sees a normal load it stores nothing, so a later diagnostic session reads a genuine service history rather than a masked one.
Track Day Scrutineering
Organised sessions generally want lights removed or taped, and some want the bulbs out entirely. A machine that spends its weekends on circuits and its weeks in a garage is the natural home for this part, because the alternative is a warning light for every mile of the road ride home.
