The JP PLD 660 is the street right-hand switch block for the RS 660, on the aligned hole pattern and machined from black Ergal.

Two Holes in Line
The aligned pattern places both mounting holes on the same axis, which suits one of the two master cylinder clamps Aprilia and its aftermarket use. The offset version exists for the other, and they do not substitute for one another.
Check the Bar First
The two patterns look nearly identical in a photograph and completely different once a screw refuses to reach. Two minutes with the existing block off the bar settles which one a particular motorcycle needs.
A Class With No Precedent
The RS 660 arrived into a gap nobody was serving: a hundred horsepower, 183 kilograms and a full electronics package at a middleweight price. Most of the class has spent the years since trying to answer it.
Bore and Stroke From a Superbike
The 659 cc parallel twin uses the RSV4's cylinder dimensions, which is unusually direct engineering and gives the engine a willingness to rev that the class had not previously offered.
Black Anodised
One finish, converted into the aluminium rather than sprayed over it. It disappears into the cockpit, which on a bike whose fairing is already doing a great deal visually is generally what is wanted.
Milled From One Block
Ergal 7075 cut on a machine, with the switch elements sealed inside. The original is moulded in halves and the joint between them is the route by which water reaches the contacts.
Why the Standard Part Fails
Not the button but the contact behind it, after a wet winter. The failure is intermittent for months, and Aprilia's answer is a complete assembly at a price that surprises most owners.
Original Connector
Pre-wired to Aprilia's plug. Two fasteners, one connector, and no dashboard warning when the ignition comes back on.
