The GSR750 is cheap enough to convert without agonising over it, and a lot of them have become track bikes for exactly that reason. The side stand comes off during the first preparation session, and this is the part that lets the engine start afterwards.

The Cheap Way Onto a Circuit
A used GSR750 costs less than a set of decent suspension for something newer, and it carries a detuned K5 GSX-R engine that copes with track use without complaint. That combination has made it a common first track bike, and the preparation is the standard list: lights out, mirrors off, stand removed, safety wire in.
A Scrutineering Requirement
Most club regulations ask for the stand to be removed rather than folded and taped, because a stand that drops mid-corner is the incident the rule exists to prevent. Once it is off, the bike will not start without this part — which is a poor thing to discover on the morning of an event.
Naked Bikes Get Stripped Too
There is less to take off a GSR than a faired bike, which means the items that do come off are a larger share of the total. Stand, bracket, spring and switch together are more than people expect until they are in a pile on the bench.
