DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 022 is fitted to the SuperSport 939 when the side stand goes, and it is also what owners reach for when the original switch has failed with age.
Key Features
- Ducati SuperSport 939 (2017–2020)
- Answers the side stand input
- Lets the engine run in gear with no stand fitted
- Plugs into Ducati's own connector
- Nothing cut, nothing spliced
- Standard switch refits at any time
A Steel Trellis Frame
Rather than the front frame architecture of the Panigale, which suits the character and keeps the price sensible.
Where the Switch Lives
Bolted to the stand bracket, low on the left, directly in the spray from the front wheel and within reach of every pressure lance aimed at a swingarm.
Ducati's Own Plug
No adapters and nothing spliced, which matters when the standard switch eventually goes back on with the stand.
Keep the Old Switch
Even a failed unit is worth putting in the parts box, because it makes the eventual refit straightforward and a buyer will want to see one.
Fitted First, Always
Until the engine runs with a gear engaged nothing else on the preparation list can be verified. It is the job that unlocks the evening.
Not a Weight Saving
The stand and its switch together weigh very little. Removing them is about ground clearance and scrutineering rather than about mass.
No Software Involved
Nothing is flashed, adapted or written to any controller. The part works entirely through the state it presents at the connector, which is why it needs no setup and behaves identically on the first ride and the hundredth.
The Connector Position
It sits low and forward on the left, generally reachable once a belly pan or a side panel is off, and occasionally without removing anything at all. Whatever the model, the eliminator should be tied up rather than left where the chain run can reach it.
