Competition bikes are parked on a stand carried in the van rather than one bolted to the frame. It is lighter and it catches on nothing.

A Deliberate Decision
Removing an interlock should follow a reason rather than a habit. On a bike that no longer has a stand, the reason is obvious.

Riders heading somewhere remote sometimes carry a spare switch, which weighs almost nothing and solves the problem once. An eliminator solves it permanently and takes up less room in the tool roll.
