The JP ACC DU020 shortens the Multistrada V2S's throttle travel for riders who open it deliberately, and asks for a diagnostic reset once the assembly is on the bar.

Semi-Active and Loaded
The S carries electronic suspension, a colour panel and the equipment list that makes a touring bike a touring bike. The bar position is high and the wrists sit well above the grips.
Sixty Degrees
The grip reaches full opening in sixty degrees of rotation where the standard assembly wants considerably more. The hand ends up doing less work for the same result.
The Return Spring
It has to close the throttle reliably every time, which is why the spring rate is chosen with the shorter travel rather than carried over from the original.
Fault Codes Without the Reset
The controller compares what it reads against what it stored and reports a throttle position fault. It is not a subtle failure and it appears immediately.
After a Battery Disconnect
Some models lose adaptations when the battery comes off, which is a reason to do the electrical work and the throttle change in the same session.

The part numbers are tied to particular motorcycles because the mounting, the sensor and the connector all differ. There is no universal version of this.

Grips and Bar Ends
The tube takes a standard grip, but factory grips are often bonded and will not survive removal in usable condition. A new pair belongs on the same order. Bar end weights generally transfer, though the thread is worth checking on anything unusual.
Riding With Others
A sharper hand response makes smooth following harder for the first hour. Anybody planning to use the part behind somebody else's rear wheel should get the solo miles in first, which is good advice for any control change.
