A Single, Not a Twin
The SL uses a 249 cc single in a much lighter chassis. It is a completely different motorcycle from the twin that shares its name.
The Loom Is Model Specific
The module is common; the harness that connects it is not. JetPrime supplies the wiring for the chosen motorcycle, which is why the catalogue lists machines rather than engine sizes and why a part from another model is not a shortcut.
On a Current Machine
Euro 5 mapping is tighter and better resolved than anything before it, which means the gains are smaller and mostly confined to the transition off a closed throttle.
What Comes in the Box
The module and the model-specific harness. Cable ties, a place to put it and twenty minutes are the owner's contribution, and nothing else is needed.
Warm-Up Belongs Elsewhere
The enrichment a cold engine needs comes from the standard controller reading its own temperature sensor. A module does not participate in that and cannot improve it.
Expectations, Set Properly
The manufacturer promises response and smoothness. Read as a power part it disappoints; read as what it says it is, it satisfies consistently.
The Airbox Lid
Owners sometimes drill or remove it hoping for the same result. That changes airflow without changing fuel and generally makes the mixture problem worse rather than better.
The Injector Itself Is Unchanged
No hardware is replaced. The standard injectors, fuel pump and pressure regulator all continue exactly as they were, which keeps the fuel system entirely factory.
A Single in a Twin's Clothing
The 250SL uses one cylinder where the rest of the small Ninja family uses two, which makes it lighter, simpler and noticeably more sensitive to how it is fuelled at the bottom of the range. On a single every firing event is felt, and a lean patch shows itself as a stumble rather than as a hesitation.
