The JP KS DU056 removes the Panigale V4 S's key barrel and the weight that goes with it, which on a race-prepared machine is a straightforward trade.

With the Cover Built In
The integrated version replaces the yoke cover and the ignition switch together. It is a single machined assembly and it is priced like one.
What Comes Off
The ignition barrel, its bracket and the key that goes with it. On a machine that never leaves a circuit none of the three does anything useful.
Why Racing Machines Lose It
A bike that lives in a van and a garage has nothing to be stolen from and nobody waiting to turn a key. The lock is mass and complication.
What It Does Not Do
No power, no fuelling and no rider aid changes. It is a control and its influence stops at the ignition circuit.
Torque
The fasteners thread into the yoke and the figures are low. Looking them up is quicker than repairing a thread in an aluminium casting.
Refitting
The standard block goes back on its own fasteners with its own connector, which takes about as long as removing it did.

The bike is being prepared for a circuit, or the original barrel has failed and the owner has decided not to replace like with like.
The Look
It sits in the centre of the cockpit and it changes how the bike reads from the saddle. That is a real reason people buy it and not a shameful one.
On a Machine Being Sold
Refitting the block makes the motorcycle ordinary again in twenty minutes, provided the barrel and its key are still together in a box.
Storing What Comes Off
Barrel, key, bracket and connector in one bag, kept with the motorcycle rather than in a drawer somewhere else. A reversible change is only reversible if somebody can find the parts, which is a lower bar than it sounds.
