DescriptionThe whole story▼
At many motocross meetings the most important lap of the day is ridden before the first race. Timed qualifying decides the order in which riders choose their place on the start gate, and a good gate on a Husqvarna FC 450 can mean an inside line to the first turn instead of a fight in the pack. One clean lap is what counts, and clean laps are built on a steady body and planted feet. Accossato makes enlarged footpegs in Ergal for the FC 450 of 2016 to 2022, in orange or black.

Construction and Material Quality
The FR798 comes from Accossato, today based in Villastellone near Turin. The manufacturer describes it in a single line: enlarged footpegs in Ergal for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy; the enlarged form gives the boot a wider surface to push against when braking hard or driving out of a turn. There are two pegs in the set, left and right, and for this generation of the FC 450 you choose between orange and black.
One Clean Lap
Qualifying rewards a different mindset from racing. There are no rivals to pass, only the clock, and the fastest riders treat the session as a search for a single lap without errors. Many use the first laps to check the track, which may have changed since practice, and then pick their moment when there is clear space ahead. A rider caught behind slower traffic will often back off, let a gap open and try again rather than force a pass that ruins the lap.
On a big four-stroke like the FC 450, a lap without mistakes depends on smooth inputs. Hard braking into a turn with the boots shuffling on the pegs, or a foot knocked off on a rough straight, costs time and rhythm. Riders who stay relaxed, with their weight in the feet and a light hold on the bars, tend to find the clean lap sooner. Secure footing is part of that relaxed position, because a rider who trusts the feet has no reason to clamp the handlebar.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list shows three footpeg sets for the FC 450, divided by model year. This page is for the FR798, which fits the bikes of 2016 to 2022; the FR795 belongs to 2014 and 2015, while the FR809 covers 2023 to 2026. Check the year of your FC 450, compare photos and colours, and ask us whenever something is unclear. The identical FR798 is also listed for the GasGas MC 450F, the Husqvarna FE 450 and the Husqvarna TC 125.
Road Approval
No ABE or other approval has been issued to us for these footpegs; they are offered for competition.
