DescriptionThe whole story▼
A jump is decided before the wheels leave the ground. On the face of the ramp, the rider of a Husqvarna FC 450 has to hold the throttle steady, keep the body centred and let the legs take up the compression of the suspension, all within a fraction of a second, and a mistake at the lip shows up later in the air. The feet are the rider's anchor through all of it. Accossato's enlarged Ergal footpegs for the FC 450 of 2014 and 2015 come in six colours.

Construction and Material Quality
Ergal, the material Accossato names for these pegs, is a high-strength aluminium alloy. The maker describes them as enlarged footpegs for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles, and the enlargement is what matters most to the rider: a broader platform under the sole. For the FC 450 of the 2014 and 2015 model years the colour list runs to six choices, namely orange, blue, green, black, red and Titanium, and the set contains both pegs, left and right. No other technical data is published for them.
On the Face of the Jump
Riders who struggle with jumping are often told to study their take-off rather than their landing. Approaching the face, the rider should be standing, knees bent and elbows up, with the weight over the middle of the FC 450 rather than behind it. As the bike climbs the ramp, the suspension compresses and then pushes back; the legs soak up the first part and then allow the bike to rise under the body. Chopping the throttle at the lip tends to drop the front wheel, while too much weight at the back sends the nose skywards.
The big four-stroke adds its own demands. Its engine drives hard up the face, so a smooth, constant throttle matters even more than on a smaller bike, and its mass means the rider has to be exactly where they intend to be when the lip arrives. All of that position is held through the feet. A peg that gives the boot plenty of support lets the rider push and absorb with confidence. The lesson for anyone learning stays the same: start with small jumps, get the take-off right and let the distance come later.
Fitment and Compatibility
This FR795 covers the FC 450 of model years 2014 and 2015. Accossato lists two further footpeg sets for the same bike, the FR798 for 2016 to 2022 and the FR809 for 2023 to 2026, so the year of manufacture decides which one you need. Compare the pictures and colours, and send us your bike's details if you would like us to check them. The same pair is also listed for the FC 250, the FE 501 and the TC 250.
Road Approval
These footpegs come without an ABE or any other test document we could rely on, so they are sold for racing use.
