These are the parts that are easy to lose on the bench and impossible to improvise afterwards.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 01499-02

Original Öhlins service part

Function

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need. Öhlins specifies thread-locking compound by position; not every fastener wants it. Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 01499-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01499-02

Category: Circlips

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01499-02_7be5e54c-572d-4b7c-9258-01ece72d1fc9.png?v=1788873832
