DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP KS DU066 gives the Panigale V2 S 890 a race bike's cockpit by replacing the ignition block with a single sealed button in the same position.
Key Features
- Ducati Panigale V2 S 890 (2025–2026)
- Replaces the original ignition block, key and lock
- Around 350 g off the top yoke
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal
- IP69K sealed push button
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
A Clean Sheet
Ducati's new 890 cc twin revs harder and weighs less than the engine it replaced, and the Panigale built around it is the most approachable superbike they sell.
No Key at All
The bike is armed and killed by a button rather than by turning something. There is nothing to lose in a paddock and nothing to carry in a set of leathers.
The Button
A single sealed push button doing what the key did: arm the ignition, then kill it. There is nothing else to learn about operating it.
The Original Goes in a Bag
Barrel, key, bracket and connector belong together. Refitting is twenty minutes and it needs all four.
Colours
Black is standard. Blue, red and titanium appear on the numbers where JetPrime offers them, anodised rather than painted.
The Practical Gain
No key to lose, no barrel to seize in winter and a top yoke that looks like it belongs on a race bike rather than a showroom floor.
Weight on the Steering Head
Every gram above the fork crown resists the rider's input twice: once turning in and once picking the bike up. It is the most expensive mass on a motorcycle.
Two Products, One Yoke
Owners fitting an aftermarket top clamp should check the two together. Individually they fit; combined they can disagree about hole positions.
Corrosion
Aluminium anodised properly outlasts a steel barrel in salt air by a long way. That is a side effect rather than a selling point.
Who Should Not Buy It
Anybody whose motorcycle is ridden on public roads, parked out of sight, or covered by an insurance policy that assumes a working steering lock. The part is honest about being made for racing and the buyer should be too.
