DescriptionThe whole story▼

Club motocross calendars in much of Europe run from early spring into late autumn, with plenty of wet weekends in between, and many KTM 150 SX riders train through the winter as well. For the rear brake of the 2009 to 2022 bikes, Accossato offers the AGPP80 pad in the Sintered compound. The maker says it keeps a high, constant level of grip at low and high temperatures and works well on a wet disc, which suits a season that brings frost on the start gate one month and puddles in the ruts the next.

Key Features

  • Sintered rear pads AGPP80ST
  • KTM 150 SX, 2009 to 2022
  • Accossato: grip stays high and constant, cold or hot
  • Good bite with water on the disc
  • Suits a full season including winter practice
  • One box for the rear caliper
  • No ABE; off-road sport

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, the Sintered compound delivers a grip level that stays high and steady regardless of temperature and keeps biting in the wet. The rear disc of a motocross bike is splashed on nearly every lap and can go from cold to hot within a few corners, so a pad that holds its character through those swings makes the pedal easier to judge. The friction face is fixed to the AGPP80 plate. Accossato's pads are also designed to keep fade low.

A Season from Frost to Puddles

Early-season rounds can start on frozen ground that thaws into slick mud by the afternoon motos. Riders lean on the rear brake to set the bike up for corners without asking too much of the front tyre on a greasy surface. That only works if the pedal gives the same response in the cold first moto as in the warmer, wetter second one.

Water and grit get everywhere at a wet meeting. Between motos, rinse the rear caliper and make sure the pads have not stuck in their guide. At home, look for scoring on the disc and check that the fluid is still clear. When fitting new pads, clean the piston before pushing it back, then press the pedal repeatedly until it is firm.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPP80 for the rear caliper of the KTM 150 SX in model years 2009 to 2022. The front caliper of the same bike takes the Accossato AGPA29. For this model Accossato also offers the discs DK017, DK018 and DK259. The AGPP80 is available as Organic and STMX too.

Road Approval

No ABE or test mark for these Sintered rear pads is in our files; they are for off-road sport.

Scope of Delivery
