DescriptionThe whole story▼
The TM Racing MX 300 two-stroke has lots of torque but little engine braking, so its rear brake is used constantly to control speed and to steer the bike through corners. Accossato lists the AGPP106 rear pad for the MX 300 from 2005 to 2025, and in the Organic compound it offers a soft, easy-to-dose response that helps riders use the rear brake with precision on dry, firm tracks.
Key Features
- AGPP106 rear pad for TM Racing MX 300 2T, 2005 to 2025
- Organic compound, SKU AGPP106OR
- Long performance and limited disc wear, per Accossato
- Easy to dose with the boot
- Suited to dry, firm ground
- ST and STMX as alternatives
- One set for the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's Organic compound is designed to last and to limit wear on the disc. On the rear of a two-stroke that is used in almost every corner, that makes a noticeable difference over a season. The maker also claims limited heat build-up and reliable braking.
Torque and the Rear Brake
A 300 two-stroke can drive hard out of a corner, but going in, it offers little engine braking to help. MX 300 riders therefore use the rear brake a lot, lightly dragging it to control speed and settle the chassis. A soft, progressive pad helps with that, because it lets the rider add pressure gradually without locking the wheel. The Organic AGPP106 does this well on dry and hard ground. On wet, sandy or muddy tracks, the ST and STMX versions are designed to cope with harder conditions.
Heat Check
If the rear brake is dragged a lot, it gets hot. After a long moto, check the rear disc for discolouration and the pads for glazing, and adjust the riding technique if the rear is overheating regularly. A rider who rests the boot on the pedal without noticing can cook a rear brake within a moto.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's rear plate AGPP106 is listed for the MX 300 two-stroke from TM Racing between 2005 and 2025. The front uses AGPA29, catalogued from 1998. No rear pad is listed for 1998 to 2004, so compare the old pads if your bike is from those years.
Road Approval
AGPP106OR is sold without an ABE or approval certificate. It is intended for off-road competition.
