DescriptionThe whole story▼
Everyday riders use the rear brake of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 more than they notice: at walking pace in traffic, when turning in narrow streets or holding the bike on a slope. This Organic (OR) rear set fits the Brutale 800 family from 2013 to 2025 and is intended for that calm, frequent use.
Key Features
- Organic (OR) rear pads for the Brutale 800, Dragster, RC and Rosso
- Covers 2013 to 2025 by version
- Longer performance and limited disc wear, according to Accossato
- Soft, progressive response for slow-speed control
- Quiet in daily use
- One box covers the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes the Organic compound as giving longer performance and limiting disc wear. For a rear brake, which does lots of light work, those are useful traits. As always with the maker, the aims are low wear, limited heat to avoid fade and firm stopping, here tuned towards gentle everyday behaviour. On a naked that often lives in town, pads that go easy on the disc keep running costs down over the years.
Balance at Walking Pace
Rolling through a queue of cars, making a U-turn in a narrow street or edging down a steep garage ramp, a Brutale 800 feels more composed when the rider uses a touch of rear brake. The Organic set responds smoothly to those small inputs and treats the rear disc gently. It is the natural choice for commuters and newer riders. The same rear pad also comes as ST and ZXC.
Service Tips
Check the rear pads whenever you service the chain. Clean the piston before pushing it back, look at disc wear and fluid colour, and press the pedal until it is firm after fitting. Bed in with a few gentle stops. Commuters who use the rear brake heavily in traffic will see faster wear than weekend riders, so it pays to look every few weeks.
Fitment and Compatibility
The rear pad is shared across the whole Brutale 800 line-up in Accossato's catalogue. That includes the original 2013 naked (listed until 2020), the Dragster of 2015 to 2019, the RC of 2018 to 2020 and the two versions that run to 2025, namely the Dragster RC from 2017 and the Rosso from 2020. A single rear caliper means one box does the whole job. If the front brake is also due, look for AGPA96, which Accossato offers in more compounds than this rear pad. An aftermarket rear caliper may need a different shape, so check before ordering.
Road Approval
These pads are not supplied with an ABE or test mark. They are therefore sold for racing and competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two rear pads in one box. No fixing parts included.
