DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is a sports tourer that many owners load with panniers, a passenger and a week's worth of kit before heading for the Alps. For the front brake of the 2020 to 2024 model, Accossato offers the AGPA109 pad in the Sintered mixture. It is the compound for riders who tour in every season and want a front brake that stays consistent over wet mountain passes, on cold autumn mornings and with a full load on board.

Key Features

  • Front pads AGPA109 for the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX, 2020 to 2024
  • Sintered mixture, SKU AGPA109ST
  • Accossato: high, stable grip from cold to hot
  • Reliable in rain and spray
  • Consistent with luggage and a passenger
  • Plate also made as EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, this compound keeps a high and constant grip level at both low and high temperatures and works well in the wet. On a Ninja 1000 SX that tours through changing weather, that means the lever feels the same at the foot of a pass in morning drizzle as it does on a dry descent in the afternoon. Accossato designs its pads to control heat and limit fade while stopping strongly. The sintered friction material is bonded to the standard AGPA109 plate.

Alpine Tours With Luggage

A fully loaded sports tourer demands a lot from its front brake. Long descents with hairpins, sudden stops behind slow traffic and wet tunnel exits all require a front brake that stays predictable. The Sintered set is Accossato's choice for riders who cover long distances in all seasons, with passenger and panniers.

Before a long tour, check the pad thickness and the disc condition, and change the brake fluid if it is more than a couple of seasons old. On long descents, use engine braking to spare the brakes, and give the pads a chance to cool between hard stops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Touring riders tend to replace everything before a big trip, so here is the full picture. AGPA109 is catalogued for the front of Ninja 1000 SX bikes built between 2020 and 2024, and AGPP102 is the matching rear reference for those years. We have no Accossato disc on record for the bike. The SX carries twin front calipers, and each box covers just one of them: order two for the front wheel. Lay an old pad beside a new one before you begin.

Road Approval

We hold no ABE or German test certificate for AGPA109ST. It is sold for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two Sintered front pads for one caliper.
