Hose length is specific to the installation and cannot be substituted freely. The reservoir holds the gas charge and the oil volume the damper displaces as the shaft enters it. Hose-mounted reservoirs allow installation where a piggyback would foul the chassis.

Genuine Service Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

Getting the Number Right

Order under 05096-08. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. dimension a 14 mm, dimension b 14 mm, dimension c 550 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Hose length is part of the installation and cannot be changed freely. The reservoir hose carries the full gas charge and is pressure-tested accordingly.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05096-08

Category: Hoses

Dimension A: 14 mm

Dimension B: 14 mm

Dimension C: 550 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05096-08_5bcc1bcc-acd0-4c2e-a002-f181979a5b73.png?v=1788873812
