DescriptionThe whole story▼
The SuperSport 950 S pairs sharper suspension with the GP Series' three-stage adjustable preload and milled Ergal body, giving the JP ACCGP DU020 a chance to shorten the throttle's rotation to 60 degrees on a sport-touring V-twin that handles both a wet commute and the occasional circuit day.
Key Features
- Ducati SuperSport 950 S (2021–2024)
- GP Series ride-by-wire quick throttle with a sixty degree rotation angle
- Progressive return spring, preload adjustable externally in three positions
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the motorcycle's own connector
- Standard throttle assembly refits at any time
The S, Set Up for Both
The 950 S adds firmer, more adjustable suspension over the base SuperSport, aimed at an owner who wants the same sport-touring comfort most days but a sharper chassis available for the occasional circuit outing. A throttle whose preload can also be externally adjusted keeps that dual-purpose intent consistent at the rider's own hand.
Fine Control in the Wet
A sport-touring bike like the 950 S often ends up ridden in conditions a dedicated trackbike would avoid, including a damp commute or an unexpected shower partway through a longer ride. A shorter throttle stroke makes it easier to hold a small, precise opening exactly when that fine control matters most, on a slick or uncertain surface.
Switchgear That Stays Familiar
Because the GP Series is built specifically for this model's handlebar layout, fitting it does not move or alter where the existing switches sit, so a rider moving between this bike and the standard SuperSport finds everything exactly where it was except the throttle's shorter stroke.
Machined to Handle the Firmer Stage
The lever itself is milled from a single billet of 7075 aluminium rather than cast, which matters more on the S, where the preload's firmest external stage sees more repeated, hard use during the occasional track session than the softer road setting typically would.
Setting Up for a Track Day
The evening before a circuit session, the S's preload can be set to its firmest of the three external stages for consistent resistance lap after lap, then returned to a lighter stage for the ride home or the following week's ordinary road riding.
Reversible, Whichever Setting Is Chosen
Regardless of which of the three preload stages an owner settles on day to day, the GP Series throttle itself remains a reversible plug and play part, letting the factory unit go back on exactly as it came off if the rider ever decides to return to it.
