DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Yamaha Tracer 900 GT is often packed for long journeys: side cases on, a passenger behind and a route across the mountains. For the Tracer 900 GT of 2018 to 2024, Accossato offers its AGPA97 front pad, and this listing is the Sintered (ST) version. It is intended for the rider who keeps going when the weather turns, who descends passes with a full load and who wants the front brake to feel the same in October rain as on a warm afternoon in June.
Key Features
- AGPA97 front pad in Sintered (ST) compound
- For the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT, model years 2018 to 2024
- Consistent grip across cold and hot conditions, per Accossato
- Strong wet-weather bite
- Suited to loaded touring and riding two-up
- One box equips one caliper
- OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC available as alternatives
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's description of the Sintered mix centres on consistency: grip stays high and steady whether the pad is cold or hot, and it holds on well when the disc is wet. That is the profile a touring Tracer needs, because the brake on a long day sees everything from a cold start in a valley to a hot, repeated workload on the way down a pass.
Two-Up on a Wet Pass
Picture a Tracer 900 GT with full cases and a pillion, coming down a wet mountain road in autumn. The front brake works harder than on any solo commute, and it is asked for the same response hairpin after hairpin. A sintered pad keeps the lever point steady through that sequence, so the rider does not have to recalibrate halfway down. When the rain starts, the first squeeze of the lever still brings a clear reaction instead of a vague pause while water clears from the disc. For riders who use the Tracer all year round, including grey winter weeks, that predictability is the main reason to choose ST.
Looking After the System
Heavy loads and long descents also warm the brake fluid. Check its level and condition before a big trip and replace it when it is due, so the firm lever that ST offers is not undermined by tired fluid.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Tracer 900 GT from 2018 to 2024, and the rear pad for the same bike is AGPP88. With two front calipers on the Tracer, you need two boxes to change both sides. Replace pads axle by axle, inspect the disc surface and thickness while the wheel is accessible, and keep the discs free of grease or chain spray. After fitting, pump the lever until the pistons are back against the pads and the lever feels firm.
Road Approval
No German ABE or test mark for this pad is available to us. It is therefore sold for motorsport and competition use.
