DescriptionThe whole story▼

Why does a bike need a new lever code for a single model year? Because the shape of a control is not fixed for ever. Manufacturers revise the cockpit when a machine is redesigned, and a lever that fitted for six seasons may not fit the seventh. For the FE 450 of 2024, Accossato lists the AGD319, a silver replacement brake lever made to put the bike back into its original appearance.

Key Features

  • Replacement brake lever for the Husqvarna FE 450
  • Accossato lists the 2024 model year
  • Silver
  • Right-hand lever, front brake
  • An original spare part for Husqvarna and GasGas machines, in Accossato's words
  • Meant to restore the bike to its original style
  • Accossato says it replaces the standard part with no difference in ergonomics or resistance
  • One lever; no German ABE or test mark, for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes the AGD319 in different words from the rest of its levers, and those words are the ones worth quoting. It is an original spare part for Husqvarna and GasGas machines, made to restore a bike to its original style, and the company states that it can be fitted in place of the standard part without any difference in ergonomics or resistance. For an FE 450 owner that is the whole point: the lever is meant to disappear into the bike. The colour is silver, and Accossato publishes no dimensions or further data.

Why a Model Year Gets Its Own Code

It helps to understand what lies behind a short entry in an application list. A control is designed around the master cylinder, the perch and the position of the bar, and when any of those changes the lever usually changes with it, sometimes only in the shape of the pivot end where nothing is visible from the saddle. A spares maker cannot list a part for years it has not checked, so a new generation gets a new code and the old one stops. That is why the year matters more than the model name when you order, and why guessing from a photograph of a different season is a poor idea. For a 2024 FE 450 the answer is the AGD319. If your bike is from another season, use the code listed for it, and if you are uncertain, take the lever off, photograph it from above against a plain background and send us the picture. The pivot end tells us more than the rest of the blade.

Fitment and Compatibility

On Accossato's list the AGD319 belongs to the FE 450 of 2024. Earlier machines are covered by the AGD316 for 2014 to 2017 and the AGD14 for 2018 to 2023. The AGD319 is shared beyond Husqvarna and appears in our catalogue under the FE 250 and the TE 300 as well as under the GasGas EC 250. On the clutch side the FE 450 has the AGS14 and the AGS17 depending on the year, while Accossato's CNC levers for this bike are the B8283, the C7283 and the C7284.

Road Approval

There is no German ABE and no test mark for the AGD319 in our records, since Accossato provided no approval documents, and the lever is therefore listed for racing and competition.
