The Upgrade Spark Designed For

Spark states the intention outright: customers who fit the homologated half system can later add the full titanium racing link pipe and keep the same silencer, for a screaming sound. This is that part.

It is an unusually honest piece of range planning. Most manufacturers would sell you a second complete system; Spark sells the six-hundred-euro pipe and lets the silencer you already paid for carry over. If you started with GTR0507TOM or GTR0503TOM and have since stopped riding the bike on the road, this is the whole conversion.

What Comes Out and What Goes In

Out comes the silenced stainless box with the catalytic converter inside it — the component that made the half system homologated and that accounts for most of its weight. In goes a titanium pipe at one kilo.

Spark quotes 6.6 kg for the standard section this family of parts replaces, which puts the scale of the change in context: the box is the heavy part of a homologated exhaust, and removing it is what turns a road system into a race one both acoustically and on the scales.

Buying It on Its Own

The other reason to order this number is damage. A link pipe sits low and exposed, and it is the component most likely to be destroyed by a kerb or a low-side while the silencer survives untouched.

Because it is the racing pipe rather than the box, replacing a damaged homologated box with this one changes the legal status of the exhaust. Order the box if the bike has to stay road legal; order this if it does not.

Fitment & Compatibility

Triumph Street Triple, 2017 through 2026 — the 660 S and the 765 R, RS and S. Supplied complete with the Grid-O silencer it is GTR0501T. The homologated half systems whose silencer it carries over are GTR0507TOM, GTR0507BOM, GTR0503TOM and GTR0503BOM. On MY24-26 machines the SKIT112 mounting kit is required.

Road Approval

None. Spark marks the racing half system it belongs to as not recommended for road use and for racing use only, and fitting this pipe removes the catalytic converter from a homologated kit.
