The V-Rod is a different Harley
The Revolution engine — liquid-cooled, sixty degrees, built with Porsche — revs to eight and a half thousand and sounds nothing like a Twin Cam. An exhaust for it behaves differently too, and so does a damper.
Akrapovic gives one sentence about this part: it suits riders who want to lower noise emissions. There is no measured decibel figure and no statement of which system it belongs to. We will not supply either from another damper.
Before ordering
If you need to meet a specific limit, or you are unsure which Akrapovic system is on the bike, ask us first. A damper that does not match the silencer it goes into is a part that does not fit.
The V-Rod years
Harley built the V-Rod from 2001 to 2017, and Akrapovic lists this damper against the 2009 to 2016 machines. The Night Rod Special and the Muscle share the same silencer arrangement across those years, which is why one part covers both.
The 10th Anniversary edition of 2012 is a Night Rod Special with different paint and badging, and it takes the same damper.
