DescriptionThe whole story▼

With a passenger on the back and luggage strapped on, a Suzuki GSF1250 Bandit carries a lot of weight over its rear wheel, and the rear brake takes on more work. AGPP88 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's rear pad for the GSF1250 Bandit from 2007 to 2018. It is designed for riders who tour two-up, ride through the wet months and want a rear brake that feels the same in rain and sunshine.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Suzuki GSF1250 Bandit, 2007 to 2018
  • Sintered compound, SKU AGPP88ST
  • High, constant grip at low and high temperatures, per Accossato
  • Good grip in the wet
  • For two-up touring and luggage
  • Front pad for the bike: AGPA75
  • Organic version also made
  • No German approval with us; track use

Construction and Material Quality

What Accossato promises for the Sintered mixture is grip that sits high and hardly shifts as the pad warms up or cools down, plus reliable bite on a wet surface. Behind the rear wheel of a big touring naked, where the pedal is used to trim speed on long hills and in showers, that evenness counts for more than raw power. Accossato adds that the pad is slow to wear.

The Rear Brake on a Two-Up Bandit Trip

Passengers notice every pitch of the bike. A Bandit rider who dabs the pedal a fraction before squeezing the lever lets the rear squat slightly, so the nose dips less and the pillion stays comfortable in the seat. Over a long valley road, the pedal also keeps speed in check between bends, sparing the front calipers for the moments that need them. A sintered rear pad keeps that routine feeling identical whether the day starts in fog or ends in sunshine. Plan the pad check into your pre-trip list alongside tyre pressures and chain tension, and have a workshop replace fluid that has turned dark. Resting a boot on the pedal while cruising is a habit worth breaking, because it keeps the pads warm and shortens their life.

Salt and road spray collect around the rear caliper, so give it a gentle rinse after winter rides and check that the piston returns freely.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPP88 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the GSF1250 Bandit from 2007 to 2018, naming the standard Bandit, the Bandit S and the GSF 1250 F Bandit. The Bandit A is not named for this rear pad, so check before ordering. The front pad is AGPA75. The rear plate is also offered in the Organic compound.

Road Approval

AGPP88ST has no ABE or German test certificate in our files, so it is supplied for racing and circuit use.

Scope of Delivery
