Sealing washers are consumables — they take their shape on first assembly. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them.

Why the Original

Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 06705-01 in this case. Check dimension a 8.89 mm, dimension b 12.5 mm, dimension c 0.89 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters. Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06705-01

Category: Washers

Dimension A: 8.89 mm

Dimension B: 12.5 mm

Dimension C: 0.89 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06705-01_13798ef9-ae78-485c-aff5-c1421b3a5292.png?v=1788877935
