Availability of individual parts is one reason Öhlins units stay in service for decades.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 21705-14

What It Is

Öhlins publishes no separate dimension for this position, so the part number carries the identity. Where a part supersedes an older number, Öhlins states it in the catalogue. Service parts make the difference between a damper that is rebuilt and one that is replaced. An original Öhlins service part, listed under its own number in the Öhlins spare parts catalogue.

Why the Original

The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Order under 21705-14. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. This part comes from the same production as the components it goes into. Replacement parts come from the same production as the components they go into.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21705-14

Category: Service Parts

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21705-14_53b4d28c-15eb-452e-8907-0d2847de93e2.png?v=1788877694
